Winking Through the Gardens at Sunset

In collaboration with London Sinfonietta and BFI Southbank, George Turner, Laura Fischer, Laura Albeck and Daniel Woodfield have created a non-dialogue short film based on a newly composed modern classical piece of music by Christopher Mayo. The film subscribes to the genre of Science Fiction, and depicts a single anonymous individual’s solitary journey through secluded lands, disrupted by unsettling and dreamlike sceneries. Time and setting seems indecisive. The landscape portrayed appears familiar, yet as the film progresses odd elements, implying a preserved nature, emerge.
